Food safety complaints
To lodge a complaint about
- Businesses, fast food outlets, restaurants, hospitals, supermarkets or food delivery services contact the local council (see below)
- Manufacturers, farms or butchers contact Safe Food Victoria (see below)

| Food business: such as a hospital, supermarket, fast-food outlet, café, restaurant, food truck or food stall | Contact the local council where the food business is located to make a complaint about a food business. To find the right council to refer your complaint, visit the Victorian Know Your Council website(opens in a new window) and enter the food business’ name and/or address to get the contact details. |
